Human beings do use a lot of wood from buildings to picture frames to note paper and newspapers and grocery bags. Many companies do it responsibly, whether by choice or by law, but many do not. We need to remove at a responsible rate and plant back wherever we remove.

Hello Juliana,
Your pictures show that in all world the man can do beautifull things but also can destroy everything around. This is an example. To obtain the wood, they commit environmental crimes.
Apart from this reality, your photos are breathtaking and show a journalistic vein, obtained by someone who don't like the man atrocities.
best regards,
Paulo

Llega el olor a madera y a naturaleza con tus capturas...

Esperemos que muchas más generaciones puedan seguir disfrutando de ella.

Un abrazo

Indiscriminate deforestation (clear cutting) without any regard is a sad reality. That said, sound forestry practices do exist and what may appear to be a clear cut may include careful replanting in a larger resource management project.

At one time I worked in Forestry.

I'm pleased you are keeping your lens on an important resource.

It's a sad occurrence. The Man mars the nature every day.

You're pictures portray it well

It's a shame. I hope they are replacing what they are taking.

How sad! Glad you're watching the area and you can keep records of it with your beautiful pics. I hope that there is a reason for this and that responsible forestry practices are in place or everyone will lose out on this tragedy.

La madera es necesaria para el hombre pero los bosques mas.

OMG, I know logging is important for things in our lives but I sure hate to see it spoil the landscape like this. I am sure you must be sick about all of this.

The same thing is happening in our forests as well. They say they are managing and balancing the cutting. Only time will tell. What a magical place, despite the damage :)

Wat een geweldige natuur is het daar, echt heel erg jammer dat ze alles weghalen.
Prachtige serie Juliana.

Hopefully they're replanting as they go Juliana, 'hopefully' being the operative word!

Smutno patrzeć na to, co człowiek robi z przyrodą. Pozdrawiam.
I look at what a man does with nature. Yours.

Hello Julia,

wood is essential, but the logging of these forests is going too fast. It destroyed more of this planet than to return plant. very nice like you in this picture have been. Very good that you paid attention to.

Kind regards, Helma

I'm always sad to see trees cut down - they are such an important part of our environment. Hopefully, the cut trees are being replaced with new plantations.

It is very sad that they harmed so many beautiful trees.

I feel pain for them. I feel how they cried.

I hope new trees soon will grow, I hope it will never happen again.

Juliana, this is very touching post. These photographs tell stories about once upon a time beautiful trees.

Very impressive photography and post. SAD, VERY SAD!

Greetings from Kaya.
